Character Animation problems

Having a few problems with the character animation. The legs of my model were quite long (He is over 6ft tall) whereas the Moom model has short legs. Consequently i cant quite match the leg movements of the video reference.

I made adjustments to the turn so it actually looks like Moom is turning on the ball of his foot. However now Moom walks into the wall as i had to move the base part of the rig.

Changes made to Walk

The original walk had no head bobing and the arms werent perfect. Through the use of coordinates i could match movements and make sure both arms were swinging by the same amount.

Progress with the character Animation

Boxing out the main poses, i think the Animation will run between 6 - 8 seconds.

First attempt at Ball bounces

Here are my first attempts at the Tennis ball, shuttlecock and bowling ball bounces

I think this will be far the easiest ball bounce to do

The Shuttlecock is unusual in that it is throw or batted from the side of the screen rather than dropped. I think this will be by far the hardest ball bounce as it is the one with the least weight and has the most force behind it.

New footage

Took some more footage today so i can extend the character animation.

My character will round the corner and kneel to fire his rifle before standing up and creeping off screen.

Original Character Animation

First Attempt

Second Attempt

Video Reference

My feedback stated that this attempt was too rudimentary. For my next attempt i aim to double the animation in length and make an gun model rather than just using a transfromed cube.
